This is a short via ferrata course that has 10 minutes of really enjoy enjoyment, and 30 minutes of boredom.

16. NOIRAIGUE, NEUCHATEL

This is a unique course along the side of the rocky outcrop above the town of Noiraigue.  A fully sideway course, it is has a few cool moments, but most of it is simply a narrow ledge.

15. LE CORDEE DES DAHUTS, SAMBUY

This is a new Via Ferrata designed for beginners with some 'best of' bits, which makes it feel a bit fake.  Some nice moments, but nothing that amazing.

14. ALETSCH, VALAIS

This is a long course in a spectacular alpine location that doesn't really get you overly excited, good technical training but no real 'wow' moments.

13. CASCADE DES NANTS, BELLEVAUX

This is a good fun course up a waterfall / gorge, that will entertain you with lots of elements.  Nothing vertiginous, but satisfying!

12. PINUT, FLIMS

If I was rating just the first part of this course, it would be much higher up in the list.  This via ferrata starts fantastic but becomes a bit of a slog for the 2nd and 3rd section.

It's a great course, just a bit simple and straight forward.  Amazing views and location, but very basic.

A lot of variety, and some challenging parts make this overall an enjoyable challenge.

Personally this was a tough course for me, but it is spectacular.  Great views, loads of variety and a bonus section before the start.

8. FORT L'ECLUSE, BELLEGARDE

3 cool sections and some real points of wow, nice views and a satisfying course design.  This is a real pleasure to climb.

7. ROC AU VENT, BEAUFORT

This is probably the most spectacular location of any course, and this makes it really cool to climb.  But its just a little bit fragmented to be truly amazing.

6. DIAVOLO, ANDERMATT

This is a really satisfying course with well designed route and the climbing up the gorge from the river is really spectacular.  It's easy but fun!

This is the most enjoyable starter course there is.  Amazing views, brilliant design and intuitive climbing.  Top!

3. TETE DE L'ELEPHANT, HAUTE SAVOIE

This is a wonderfully designed course with really fun sensation up the side of the rock face.  Some comment that it has too many holds, but I really loved the course!

The best summit of any via ferrata! And a really enjoyable (but fairly short) climb up the side of this epic rock face.

1. MOLESON LE FACE, FRIBOURG

A wonderful course, full of challenge and instinct.  Really well designed and fairly laid out to push you up the side and enjoy the amazing views and the fantastic summit!
