By car, you can park at the base of the funicular at Plan Francey. By public transport, you can take a train to Gruyeres and then a bus to Moleson sur Gruyeres.
Access to the Via Ferrata is 4fr per adult, 2fr per child.
WHAT TO KNOW!
The fantastic “La Face Via Ferrata” on the Moléson, near Gruyères is the better (and harder) of the 2 climbs up the mountain. Starting at 1518m and finishing at 2002m summit, most of the climb is cabled and varies from easy to very difficult. A few overhangs up the course are mangeable, at the end of the course however there are 2 alternative routes as the last overhang is more tricky. The course is on the north face of the mountain, so is a little damp and cool, there is a couple of rest spots and amazing views. A great summit tops off a wonderful advanced level pretty long course, suggested time is 2.5hrs climb.
