WHAT TO KNOW!

Is this the most spectacular Via Ferrata in France?

The stunning Roc du Vent VF above Beaufort in Savoie, is a wonderful course. Full of variety, a lot of rock contact, great climbing, an underground section, incredible views and some vertigo moments, this AD course is a comprehensive adventure.  It is however, very popular, so try to avoid at peak times to not be stuck in a long procession.

About 3 hours to complete + another 1.5 hours of hiking, it is a wonderful day of mountain adrenaline!  Because of the exposure and altitude, we would make sure that the weather is totally clear and the wind is calm. The highlight of this course is the truly spectacular backdrop and the monkey bridge is very exposed, any wind could make it a big challenge!

in theory, if you have a good head for heights this could be a good first course as long as you are with experienced guides.  The exposed sections are very exposed, but so to are the views and the variety!
